This natural diffuser is the perfect solution for areas of your home that don’t have any power points such as wardrobes and toilets. They are also an attractive feature for diffusing essential oils on your bedside table or study area.

Each Banksia Pod features an outside surface of rough edges, red velvety fur and holes where the seeds once were. These qualities are a completely natural part of the seed pod which makes them individual and beautifully unique. You will never find two the same.

Banksia Pod Diffuser Instructions

Your Banksia Pod Diffuser is pre-tested for leaks, and it is made of a natural porous material to allow the oil to be released/diffused slowly. To avoid any oil stains or damage on your furniture, such as wood or painted surfaces, we recommend you sit your pod on top of a small plate or tile to protect the surface.

+ Remove the cork from the pod

+ Choose your favourite essential oils, such as our May I Be Clean & Fresh blend and drop about 15-20 drops into the pod

+ Then place the cork back into the pod

The aroma will last for about 2 weeks. For longer lasting results simply add a few extra drops of your favourite essential oil weekly as the oil builds up and soaks into the naturally porous material.

Keep in mind that the pod cannot be easily cleaned or flushed out, so choose to fill your Banksia Pod Diffuser with essential oils that compliment each other.

Responsibility & Sustainability

The collection of the Banskia Grandis seed pod is highly regulated by the Department of Parks and Wildlife Western Australia to ensure that the landscape is undisturbed and that the Banksia trees continue to thrive in the Australian bush.

The seed pods collected have expelled their seeds and have completed the lifecycle of the plant. They are carefully handpicked to ensure no damage is done to the tree itself or the Australian bushland. The collectors go into the bush on foot, careful not to disturb any surrounding plants or wildlife and no heavy machinery is used during this process.

A royalty is paid to the Western Australian Forestry per seed pod, which goes to aid in forest management and conservation. The pickers are designated certain areas to collect the pods, and these are constantly changing to ensure no one area is ever depleted. Only 10% of the Banksia Seed Pods can be collected in any one area at a time. We pledge to always support the harvesters in their endeavours to regenerate the Australian bushland.
